Where are you located?  Is there parking available?

  • For Fishing Charters and Cruises:

    • The address is 720 Channel Blvd., Topsail Beach. Parking is available in the gravel parking lot in front of the Topsail Assembly Building. The boats are docked behind the Topsail Assembly Building. Cruises may have an alternative pickup location that your captain may designate. 

  • For Castaway Cafe, Topsail, NC:

    • There is no public brick and mortar location. Castaway Cafe is a mobile Ice Cream Pontoon Boat serving the waterway sandbars and beaches of South Topsail, Serenity Point and northern area of Lea-Huff Island during the weekends of the summer season.

Should I make a reservation? ​​

  • Reservations with deposits in advance are required for fishing charters and private cruises/events: 

    • A 25% nonrefundable deposit is required to secure your reservation. A deposit invoice will be sent by email and can be paid with credit card, debit card or bank transfer. Another invoice will be sent for the balance and must be paid within 24 hours of your trip. Refunds will not be given for late arrivals/no shows.

  • For Cruises:

    • Yes. Reservations with full payment in advance are recommended for cruises. A deposit invoice can be sent by email and can be paid with credit card, debit card or bank transfer. Credit cards, debit cards, cash app pay and cash are all accepted before boarding.

 

Cancellations & Refunds Policy​​

  • For Fishing Charters: 

    • Deposits for fishing charters are refundable with a cancellation five business days prior to reservation date. All charter fees are final once the boat has left the dock. Fees will not be pro-rated nor will any refund be given if the customer(s) terminates the trip early. Any approved refunds will be given within seven business days.

  • For Cruises:

    • No cancellations allowed for cruises and refunds will not be given for late arrivals/no shows. Your credit card will be charged the full amount for the cruise and is non-refundable.

Inclement Weather Policy

We fish rain or shine. We can cruise rain or shine. If the captain cancels a fishing trip or a cruise due to inclement weather, the customer may choose to reschedule their reservation or receive a full refund. If an alternate date or time is not possible, the customer will receive a full refund.

What do we bring?

We are dog friendly. Dogs must be on a leash to board the boat!

  • For Fishing Charters ONLY:

    • NO BANANAS! 

    • Sunscreen

    • Sunglasses

    • Camera

    • Beach towel

    • Comfortable clothing and maybe a jacket depending on the weather.

    • Food & drinks in a small cooler. 

    • Cooler to take home your catch. Please leave this cooler in your vehicle. Additional coolers will not be allowed on the boat.

  • For Cruises​:

    • Sunscreen

    • Sunglasses

    • Camera

    • Comfortable clothing and maybe a jacket depending on the weather.

    • Food & drinks in a small cooler. 

Is there a bathroom aboard the boats?

Yes, there is one bathroom on the fishing boat.

Will I get seasick?

  • For Fishing Charters

    • If you are going on a fishing charter and are subject to motion sickness refer to your physician for precautionary measures if you feel they will be needed.

  • For Cruises​:

    • Sea sickness is not usually an issue on cruises but refer to your physician for precautionary measures if you feel they might be needed.

Should we tip the crew? How much?

Tips are greatly appreciated for a job well done! Please tip just as you would a server in a restaurant (18-20%). 

 

For Fishing Charters: Is fish cleaning available?

The first mate will provide fish cleaning and ice for you to take home your catch. You should bring a cooler to take home your cleaned and iced catch. Please leave this cooler in your vehicle. Additional coolers will not be allowed on the boat.
